Paraphrasing a little, President Barack Obama recently said that being an American is not a matter of blood or birth, but of faith. Really (?) ... and all this time we thought that simply being born in America was enough to qualify. Suddenly, Obama is blithely passing over the 14th Amendment by implying that we must pass some kind of faith test in order to be American, so we were just wondering who exactly is going to administer and grade this test? For a president whose citizenship and place of birth has been questioned as much as his, albeit unfairly and deviously by his detractors, you would think his choice of words would be a little more legalistic. Moreover, Obama is virtually inviting a la carte citizenship and constitutionality with his remarks. Frankly, most Americans want politicians to abide by the laws of the nation as opposed to taking short cuts around the law. The Indigenous People who have more than a passing interest regarding this subject because of their prominent historical status, know all about politicians who speak anti-democratically on matters that the elite political class in America has no inkling or care of.
